Edidt Sanchez

Councilmember Edidt Sanchez 

Edidt Ramirez was born on November 30, 1985, 

in Rexburg, Idaho, and has lived in Roberts her entire life. As the youngest of nine siblings, she grew up helping her parents with their food business and store, instilling in her a strong work ethic and commitment to community. Edidt’s passion for equality, human rights, social justice, and community development has guided much of her personal and professional life.

After attending Idaho State University and earning certifications as a Professional Mediator and Child Custody Mediator, Edidt built a career in social services and the legal field, with roles such as Family Service Advocate, Legal Assistant, and Veterans Service Officer. In 2014, she received a Community Service Award from the Rigby Chamber of Commerce.

Edidt began her first term on the Roberts City Council in 2015, motivated by her desire to make a difference in her community and give a voice to the large Hispanic population in the area. Her vision for Roberts focuses on preserving the town’s unique culture, fostering community engagement, and improving public spaces like parks. Outside of her council role, Edidt volunteers at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, enjoys reading, and is an avid Las Vegas Raiders fan. She is also a dedicated mother to her 5-year-old son, Antonio, and pet parent to her dog, Cairo.
