Building Permits & Applications

Building permits are required for most construction, fencing, utility connections, demolition, and land use changes within the City of Roberts.

All applications are reviewed by City staff and approved by City Council.

Fees & Payment Policy

Permit fees are required as follows:                                               Pay Fees Online 

• All permit fees are due at the time of application submittal, except for Building Permits

• Building Permit fees are due after approval, prior to issuance

Building & Structure Permits

Building Permit Application

Required for most construction projects including new homes, additions, remodels, garages, fences, and accessory structures. This application must be approved before construction begins.

Building Permit Extension Application

Used to extend the time allowed to complete an approved building permit.

Structure Relocation Application

Required when moving a structure onto, within, or off a property within the City.

Permanent Structure Demolition Application

Required before demolishing any permanent structure.

Land Use

Zone Change Application

Used to request a change in zoning classification for a property.

Planning Unit Development (PUD)

Preliminary Development Plan Application

Used to begin review of a proposed development project, including layout, land use, and infrastructure planning.

Final Development Plan Application

Used to finalize an approved development plan and confirm all required conditions have been met.

Mobile Home Park Supplemental Form

Required for development or expansion of a mobile home park and must be submitted with applicable development applications.

Right-of-Way/Public Infrastructure

General ROW Permit Application

Required for any work within public rights-of-way including streets, sidewalks, curb/gutter, and utility corridors.

PUD or Subdivision ROW Application

Required for right-of-way work associated with subdivision or Planned Unit Development projects, including roads and infrastructure installation.

Franchise ROW Permit Application

Required for utility or franchise companies performing work within public rights-of-way.

Public Roadway Excavation & Repair Requirements Acknowledge Form

Required acknowledgment of City standards for excavation or repair work in public roadways before ROW work begins.
