Notice of Public Hearing on Proposed Grant Activities

The City of Roberts is submitting a proposal to the Idaho Department of Commerce for an Idaho Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG) in the amount of $245,000. The proposed project consists of making improvements to the Roberts Community Center.

The hearing will include a discussion of the application, scope of work, budget, schedule, benefits of the project, how ICDBG funds will benefit low and moderate income persons, and location of the proposed project. The application, related documents, and ICDBG Application Handbook will be available for review.

The hearing has been scheduled for March 4, 2025, at 6:30 PM at the City Hall (647 N 2872 E, Roberts, ID 83444).  Verbal and written comments will be accepted prior to and at the hearing.

The hearing will be held in a facility that is accessible to persons with disabilities.  Special accommodations will be available, upon request, five (5) days prior to the hearing in a format that is usable to persons with disabilities.  For more information, contact April Galbraith, City Clerk, at 208-228-3220.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

The City Council of the City of Roberts, Jefferson County, Idaho will be accepting comments from the public regarding the City of Roberts Water Facility Planning Study and proposed water treatment plant improvements. They are available for viewing at the Roberts City Building.

A public hearing will be held before City Council beginning at 6:50 pm on February 11, 2025, where details of the project options will be outlined and verbal comments received.

The proposed water system improvements include adding a control system and equipment to treat the City water for manganese and replacing some existing equipment at the treatment plant.

After considering and addressing comments received at the public meeting and during the public comment period the City Council will determine the project alternatives the City wishes to pursue.

The facilities are accessible to persons with disabilities. Special accommodations for non-English speaking persons will be available upon request with a minimum of five (5) days’ notice to the city clerk prior to the meeting.

The public comment period will be from Wednesday, January 22, 2025 to Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Direct comments to April Gallbraith at Roberts City Building, 647 N 2872 E, P.O.
