2025 GENERAL CITY ELECTION

The general election for the City of Roberts, Idaho, will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The election will be held for the purpose of electing the following offices for the specified terms:

• Councilmember Seat – 4-year term

• Councilmember Seat – 4-year term

• Councilmember Seat – 2-year term

Candidate Filing Information

The candidate filing period opens at 9:00 a.m. on August 18, 2025, and closes at 5:00 p.m. on August 29, 2025. All city offices must remain open until 5:00 p.m. on August 29 to accept filing forms.

Candidate packets are available at Roberts City Hall, the Jefferson County Election Office, or can be downloaded online at www.jcgov.us/368/Candidate-Information. Once a candidate completes their packet, the Election Office must certify both the candidate and petition signatures before submission. Certified packets must be submitted to Roberts City Hall by 5:00 p.m. on August 29.

When submitting a completed packet to the city, the Certification of Candidate form must be completed and a copy sent to the Election Office.

The deadline for a candidate to withdraw from the election is September 5, 2025.

Candidate Qualifications

To qualify for city office, a candidate must:

• Be at least 18 years old

• Be a U.S. citizen

• Reside within the City of Roberts

• Have an address on their voter registration that matches the residence address provided on the declaration

• Have lived in the city for at least 30 days before filing

The Declaration of Candidacy must be accompanied by either:

• A nonrefundable filing fee of $40, or

• A Petition of Candidacy signed by at least five qualified city electors, with all signatures verified by the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office.
