URGENT NOTICE: DO NOT DRINK OR BOIL TAP WATER IN THE CITY OF ROBERTS
Roberts, ID – The City of Roberts is issuing an urgent advisory to all residents: Do not drink or boil tap water until further notice.
A significant loss of water pressure has occurred throughout the city due to a recent power outage, which may have compromised the safety of the water supply. Boiling the water is not safe at this time. Contaminants may be present that boiling will not eliminate.
What this means for you:
- Do NOT drink tap water or use it for cooking, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.
- Do NOT boil tap water – boiling is not effective and may increase risk.
- Use bottled water for all consumption and hygiene needs.
City crews have restored pressure to the water system. Water testing and further assessments are underway. An update will be provided as soon as it is safe to lift the advisory. We anticipate resolving the problem within 2-5 days.
We thank residents for their understanding and cooperation during this emergency. Please share this information with neighbors, especially those without access to electronic communication.
For updates, follow the City of Roberts official website or social media channels, or call 208-228-3220.
