Information for Residents Affected by Mail Delivery Changes
6/24/2026
The United States Postal Service is changing mail delivery service for some Roberts residents who currently receive free post office box service. As a result, affected residents may be required to install a mailbox at their physical address for roadside delivery.
Before installing a roadside mailbox, please contact City Hall. A Right-of-Way Permit is required to ensure mailbox placement does not conflict with sidewalks, utilities, or other public infrastructure.
To assist residents during this transition, the City of Roberts will waive the Right-of-Way Permit fee for mailbox installations.
If you have already installed a roadside mailbox, please contact City Hall so we can review the location and help ensure it does not conflict with existing or future public infrastructure.
Please review the attached flyer for additional information.
If you have questions, please contact City Hall at 208-228-3220 or visit us during regular business hours, Monday–Thursday | 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
