Notice to Residents – Utility Locate Marking

A fiber installation project will be taking place throughout the city. As part of this process, an 811 Dig Line request has been submitted. Under Idaho state law, utility companies are required to locate and mark underground utilities before any excavation begins. You may see paint, flags, or other markings in your yard, alley, or along the street indicating the location of water, sewer, gas, power, and communication lines.
These markings are temporary and necessary for safety. They help prevent damage to critical infrastructure, avoid service disruptions, and protect both workers and the public.
We ask that residents do not remove, alter, or wash away these markings. Doing so can create unsafe conditions and may delay the project.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure improvement moves forward.
